Okay first, between 1933 and 1945 about 6 million Jews were killed in Concentration Camps or through other means by the Nazis.

This is more or less fact. The exact number we don't know. The truth is some vague number.

Second. Every year billions of animals are killed in the US alone for human consumption.

Both of these are fact. Another fact is that far more animals are killed per year in the US than Jews were killed in a 12 year period by the Nazis. A lot more.

So, imagine that you're in charge of a media outlet. Which story to you present first? If you had to choose only one story, which one are you going to choose?

The one with the highest number of deaths? Or the one that will make Americans be the most shocked?

If you present them both, are you going to use similar language for both? Are you going to call the Holocaust a tragedy and the killed of animals not a tragedy?

Because the word "tragedy" is not a fact based word, it's an emotional word.

Are you going to remove all emotion from your news channel? Are you going to choose which story comes first without any emotion?

Because quite clearly billions of animals dying a year is a larger, more numerous story that 6 billion people dying over a 12 year period. With no emotion, you have to go for the animal story first.
