There is a very strong case that should be made for having terms for the Supreme Court.

The average term of a justice (how long they spend on the court) is about 17 years. Lets limit it to 18 years starting with the next appointment or age out at 85.

The complexities of the cases that they are facing, the technological and cultural shifts that have happened….it’s probably one of those good ideas (limiting terms) that we will never do because we are hesitant to even challenge the intelligence of the constitution much less change it.
