A budget proposal that does not include cuts to military spending isn't serious. A budget proposal that does not include tax increases is not a serious proposal. I understand where they're coming from. They think that it's "class warfare" to have them have their burden increased unilaterally, but at the same time they ignore the fact that things being as-is seems a warfare against the middle and lower class, if you look at their size-trend, and compare it to the size-trend of the rich-class.

The balance is alot too overboard to be sustainable, hence why the Economy would naturally contract.

You will be hard pressed to find people who are against cutting spending. What you will find is that people are fine with cutting the other side's sacred cows but not their own. Those that just flat out oppose spending cuts are morons.

Replace "cutting spending" with "increasing taxes" and answer me the same questions.

The dems fought and fought to get cuts down to $38 Billion, from $100B.
FYI; we spend $6.1 B a day to keep the government running.

We have a $1.4 trillion dollar deficit. You talk about $38 billion like it is a pittance and I agree, however, it is a decrease in spending therefor any increase in revenue to bridge the gap is not wasted.

I think we should cut military spending by 50%.
We would still outspend any other nation on earth even with a 50% cut.

We should agressivly pursue any govt fraud including Medicare/medicaid, welfare.

We should competitively group purchase drugs for any govt healthcare.

We should adjust the retirement age for SS since people live longer now.

We should review and adjust govt employees benefits to be more in line with the non govt employees in theis country.
