when will the pendulum of american politics ever come to rest? naturally people will choose the gop, because it's their instinct to side with the rough opposite of failure, just as the public ousted them four years ago. and in another six years, after obama has been voted out and the gop has patted itself on the back for riding the coattails of his failures, and once again betrayed every platform they originally ran on, including their own principles, the public will fire them again, and the pendulum will swing the other way. it's as if the story of the last thirty years has been a never ending cycle of the lesser of two evils, striving to outdo each other in the quest to get re-elected and nothing more.
i'm sorry, but how can you be so stupid as to bring back the party that has done nothing but bring war, bring crippling debt, big government, and unconstitutional infringements such as the patriot act? theyre like the sex offender that we keep letting out of prison, who says he's found jesus, that he's changed, that he'd never molest another child again - and then when he's let out, guess what he does?
clearly there needs to be more than two parties. it's always the classic case of douche vs. turd, to borrow from a classic episode of south park. WHEN WILL THIS END?
