It is reported that Paddock killed himself, presumably by a bullet through the brain, which is very disappointing. Because it is entirely possible that an autopsy of his brain could explain his actions. The similarities in the two events are much too prominent to be ignored -- as they have been thus far.

You know, there is a channel on most cable providers called VICE Channel. On it they have various shows, and one of their series dealt with the criminal underground. One of their shows was called "Iron Pipeline", and it was talking about how all the guns get up to Illinois.

Seems that there are a lot of enterprising people who like to take advantage of our open borders between states. They go to places like TX, AZ, or some other state where you can legally buy guns from a gun show WITHOUT having to have a background check.

They then pack up those guns, put 'em in their car and drive them to places like Chicago, where they then sell the guns for 2 to 3 times what they had paid at the gun shows down south.

Nope, the only way you're gonna have effective gun control is to make the laws at a FEDERAL, not state, level.
