Actually speeding is way down on the list of causes for traffic accident deaths.
DUI, Jaywalking, Failure to Yield and Failure to Stop at a light or a sign all rank higher than speeding.

If you passed a law requiring cars in the US to have their speed limited to, say, 80 miles an hour,

conservatives would go ballistic.
