Why do Democrats Support the Continued Balkanization of the US Southwest?

Democrats have come out fully in favor of the continued "ReConquista" of the US Southwest by Mexico and I'm wondering what will they get out it? CA is blue and should stay blue, why drive out white working Libs in favor of Illegals?
