[As unwelcome as that proposal might seem, if twenty children were killed in a school bus collision which was caused by a teen-age driver in a speeding sports car rest assured the proposal would be taken seriously and there would be calls for installing speed governors on most cars, as well as other restrictive proposals.

BS. Stuff like that has happened and the media buried the story every time. The auto industry pays the media to encourage criminal driving. Car crashes means car sales.
