CDZ Why do Conservatives believe that America is no longer great?

Donald Trump's major talking point is that America is no longer great- so why do Conservatives believe America is no longer great?

When do Conservatives believe America stopped being great?

The reason why is simpler to explain then the moment when.

First the why:

Because there is progressive logical thinking relating to investment and interest. Simply stated, it is said and believed America is no longer great because in the perspective of a Conservative (who can properly refer to history as a whole) America can always be better. In other words, improvements are always possible considering the great diversity and associations of everything that has already been accomplished. It is slightly emotionally charged, but a perfectly logical sentiment. It has always been great, it can always be greater. Great might be an ambiguous term, but it delivers for the relief of frustration that may consume our memorial thoughts. (It was a great explosion that killed so many, but the lives of the survivors will be greater than any bomb).

Now the when:

The moment we reconsider our positions is probably the time when we believe our positions were and once again (in the present continuous moment) are not so great, requesting of us recognition of the past, of the present and of the future to amend and create proper retribution for our mistakes. It is not the same as remorse, but justified and apologetic reappropriated projection. It often happens when we are confronted with more than our individual or group selves, as another individual self or another group self with differing and contributing perspectives makes itself evident. In the case of Conservatives the other confronting selves are probably Democrats, but often other Conservatives too (either as singular individuals or group individuals).

No, the reason is simpler than that: it's a rightwing partisan contrivance, devoid of fact or merit; where conservatives propagate the lie that America 'lost its greatness' January 20, 2009 at Noon.

Same thing, though still very emotionally charged (let's change the word for dramatic now).

Wasn't at that time, the start of the fundamental transformation of America? Why would anyone NEED to fundamentally transform something that was already great?

Excellent question. Why indeed?

America's selling off of it's assets to a communist country, red china, is maybe a good starting point. Farmland, factories, stock exchanges, on an on. This is an indication of America no longer being great. When did it start? Nafta was a good starting point, and now the super secret TPP. Notice, not much mention of the TPP during debates? The fix is in. America burns while obama golfs. .

How about when we stopped being able to pay the bills without other countries sending us money? Or maybe when it became impossible to start a business without 3 lawyers and 4 ex-govt officials? Maybe when some genius decided it was a schools job to teaching morality and ethics instead of critical thinking? I could go on.
Oh. You mean when Reagan became president and we went from being a creditor nation to a debtor? When we let the moral majority types start running school boards? I kind of agree. I don't think that America has ever not been great, but it has certainly stumbled at times.

I respect all believes. My opinion however is that Bernie sanders is the best candidate. I even wrote a song about it! Check it out!
