Why do colleges hire Liberal elites for graduation speeches?

Is there anything more depressing than listening to Obama, Hillary or Biden for a commencement speech? Aren't graduation speeches supposed to be inspiring, uplifting and congratulatory toward the graduates? All these losers talk about is themselves and their warped Liberal view of the world.

Or It's because they want to cadge a free meal and cab fare.Their speeches are as dried out as they are.

I went to high school grad. Last night. My granddaughter, two time winner of John Phillip Sousa award. (Brag). The message was love of god country and humanity. Hope and achieving goals and over coming adversity! She has elected to go to Troy State University!
