Interesting chart. Re-do by "per capita".
What I find interesting is that India has extreme poverty and 3 to 4 times the population of The Fallen Empire, but with a fairly low overall crime rate.I suppose they have a soul.

to be fair

some places don't have laws like other places, and in a shit hole like Mexico, the cops are on the take, so you can't report most crimes.

You smoke outside in NYC, you have committed a crime.

Yeah it's hard to take this worldwide comparison crime rate stuff too seriously.

You can murder people in Saudi Arabia under the law, you're breaking the law if you're throwing a plastic frisbee on a California beach.

There are alot of catholics who dont practice their faith.

Not to mention there are also non-catholics in those nations, as well as corrupt governments.
