The same group that increased costs to it's own employees citing the new healthcare law...

WTF???

Republican Lawmakers Question AARP'S Tax-Free Profits From Product Endorsements | Fox News
Republicans say AARP's deal with United HealthCare is different, and in the letter to the IRS, they point to what they say are several examples of AARP’s daily influence over the business, including its “authority over United's ‘operating plan’” and its ability to "approve, modify on a line-by-line basis, or provide specific direction to United."

Josephson said if that’s indeed the case, "the kinds of hands-on relationships (AARP) has with its supposedly arms-length insurance companies are hardly passive."

And if it’s not passive, lawmakers contend, the income is taxable.

But AARP’s support for the Obama administration’s new health care law, which calls for $500 billion in cuts to Medicare, critics say, makes it all the more likely people would need supplemental insurance, something AARP stands ready to provide.

"That move alone, as seniors began to go to Medigap insurance, increases AARP's revenue over a 10-year period by $1 billion. And we think that's just a little bit suspicious," Reichert said.

Because a lot of us old duffers fully support the OWS. Their message that something is clearly wrong with the distribution of wealth in this nation is spot on. We on the factory floor have watched the real worth of our wages go steadily downward for 30 years, while the wealth of the nation has become increasingly concentrated at the top.

The AARP is the one way we can keep the GOP from putting all seniors in the working class of people back into poverty as soon as they cease to be of use to the corperations. That is the intent of the GOP. When you can no longer make them money, they see no reason that you should continue to live.

Have dem policy print money out of thin air again, it was great for inflation.

Thanks to good policy, we now have our auto industry on firm footing again, with several million jobs saved.

Given the insane policies that put us into this hole, whatever the Dems did to get us started moving in the right direction again, is a good thing.

I know you really hate to see your fellow Americans starting to get their jobs back, and having money in their pockets again, but you are just going to have to live with that.

Wasn't it Bush that started the auto bail out?

Why didn't OWS protest AARP?

That's a good question. I saw Barry try to address it the other day teleprompter-less. Quote, "Ah, um...well as ah I um, you know it's...well, um as we all ah...know sometimes, ah it it kinda...um, ah...part ah, because of the previous administration."

they agreed with the GOP as it pertained to the Bush Tax Cut extension.
Within months, we saw the economy starty a recovery.

OWS should protest the congress.

NYT: Members of Congress grew richer in past 6 years - politics - The New York Times - msnbc.com

Largely insulated from the country’s economic downturn since 2008, members of Congress — many of them among the “1 percenters” denounced by Occupy Wall Street protesters — have gotten much richer even as most of the country has become much poorer in the last six years, according to an analysis by The New York Times based on data from the Center for Responsive Politics, a nonprofit research group.

This is the real reason the country is fucked. The members of congress for the most part are just looking out for themselves. And have been for the longest time.

There is an easy solution. One I read in a book, wish I could remember it, but the idea is that you take the politicians money and put it into the general fund. Then if there is a surplus they get their money back with interest. But if there is a deficit they get what the american people have been getting. SCREWED!
