He wrote it because he has so much hubris he thought people would want to know his autobiography despite having accomplished absolutely nothing worth knowing him about at the time.

It is very telling though. Dreams from his father. His father's dream was Marxism. Yet somehow we are supposed to pretend that despite him writing a book about recieving his dreams from his father, he isn't inclined at all to marxism.
