I don't no much about the others, but the Crusades and the Inquisition got a bad rap. They stopped the Ottoman Empire and the Cathars in its tracks. That was a very good thing. Those people were reprehensible and brought about their own destruction.

The first part is correct yes ; God created you to doubt him. Eternal punishment is a lie about God, I suggest you don't believe it.
