According to a new report, 47 percent of Detroiters are ”functionally illiterate.” The alarming new statistics were released by the Detroit Regional Workforce Fund on Wednesday.

Detroit will only recover if a benevolent elite takes it unto themselves to rule over these people with a kind hand and teach the next generation to govern itself and thrive in the modern world.

The report goes on to specify that roughly half of the illiterate population has either a high school degree or a GED, and yet they can’t read.

I don't even want to know how much federal and state money (from us taxpayers!!!) has been dumped on Detroit in the form of welfare, education spending, programs, initiatives, and God knows what else over the many decades. What a pathetic waste of money. Wake up, black community. This is all on you and nobody else.
