Why cant we defend out borders?

Why?

Maybe because it's several thousand miles long and logistically impossible to patrol with the resources at our disposable.

The actual wall parts of the Great Wall of China is 3,900 miles long and was built almost 2,000 years ago, so your excuse is not a valid one.

It also took several hundred years and many thousands of workers to build it.

Not a practical solution.

well, we have several million workers in need of jobs. "shovel ready" jobs so you excuse is again shot down.

But that was 2,000 years ago. Today we have technology that they couldn't have imagined.

Not a practical solution.

Notice that I never said I supported building it. I'm just pointing out that your reasoning for not building is not sound.

are we really so afraid of la raza and their ilk, that we will allow our country to be two americans, the english speaking, and the uneducated, illegal non-english, think were owed freebies entitlement so called people?

Because neither party really wants it.

This.

Can't say we agree on much, but on this we do.

So you want several million "overpaid" government workers on the payroll?

Where's that money going to come from, smartass?

Surprise, surprise --

GOVERNOR RICK PERRY IS DARNED SURE DOING SOMETHING ABOUT ILLEGALS FLOWING ACROSS TEXAS BORDERS.

This mess, folks, SHOULD have been a concern of Washington D.C. and isn't. All you people in other States better take a look at what YOU elected to represent you on both the State and National levels.

The real kicker is this -- YOU ain't being represented.

Texas is willing to loan you our Governor Rick Perry for the Presidency of the United States. He WILL get the country back on track. He's good at that. But he's only a loaner, and we want him back after he has cleaned up YOUR messes.

And once he's cleaned up, KEEP IT CLEAN or move to another country you think you can overthrow.
American ain't up for grabs.

GOSH! You mean the Chinese didn't have bulldozers and stuff like that to help? That makes them 1000 times more industrious that those bean bags from south of the border.

And the US Mexico border is really less than 2,000 miles.

The longest journey begins with a single step.

It took Americans 500 years to build the United States. The Mexicans will need 5,000 years to clean up the mess they made on their side of the border.

"The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States"
G Soros.

Exactly, and one of the reasons why I don't support building the wall.

Don't we have machines and stuff to do that shit now?

Anti-Americans and former revolutionaries like Obama and most of the democrat party don't want to close the borders. Democrats have been trying to undermine the greatest Country in the world for decades and open borders is one of the ways. Forcing Americans to rely on oil from socialist regimes is another way. Kissing the ass of every two bit dictator in the world is another way and the fake science of (American made) global warming is the topping on the revolutionary cake.

Yes we do, but it would still be a monunental task. We're not talking chainlink fence here but some formidable, unscalable concrete structure of some sort.

And who's going to pay for this?

you do realize, i didnt say why cant liberals let us defend our borders right?

WTF? What is that supposed to mean? How can you "defend borders" when big business is literally trucking them in??? It sure sounded like a "liberal" bash to me, as you're obviously talking of access to public education (freebie) and ESL and of course the same tired "entitlement" talking point...

What I don't see is you blaming these republican crony corporations for the illegals being here in the first place... monsanto, cargill, con-agra, cal-organic (pick any migrant worker-dependent corp. really)... the list goes on.

If Liberal Dem Partisans are going to demonize Big Business, I wish they'd pick a story and stick to it:

I thought "Republican Crony Corporations" were outsourcing cheap labor to other countries? Why should they allow porous borders?

No it is BIG GOVERNMENT (both Repub and Dem conceived) that needs TAXPAYERS that keeps our southern border open. Legalized Immigration would be too compliciant: Domestic voters would turn against a government that allowed easy LEGAL immigration. But, once illegals become defacto citizens, they might as well be taxpayers.

So here's the plan:

Raise social welfare for 70 year old anglos
Legalise 20 million immigrants
Raise Taxes from Mexican immigrants and their progeny (enslave them)
Pay for the Social Welfare for Baby Boomers (me)

By the time Mexicans will be eligible for Social Welfare, the minimum age will be 90.

:lol::lol:

From 2001 to 2006, Repubs had the White House, the House, and the Senate. They could have closed the border after 9-11 with full support of almost all American Citizens. Why did they not do this?
