its actually completely the opposite.90% of all taxes are paid by the top 5 %....who avails themselves of the use of highways schools, fire dept. etc. more?

And before you answer think on it, because I KNOW there are studys etc. that confirm that the numbers work that way ( aside for sheer numerical logic) and quantify them in dollar terms- the lower you go from 'the rich' the greater the proportion of good and services are used as you slide down the scale by those in those lower brackets, way more than they put in.

Because socialists and liberals are steeped in class envy. The idea of the "rich" keeping more of what they earn just drives them NUTS.

To see the real hypocrisy of this, Read "Do as I say, Not as I do" and see where rich liberals like the Clintons, Michael Moore, or the Late Ted Kennedy put their cash to avoid paying the taxes they demand everyone else pay.

RANK HYPOCRISY on that one.

Most of the people you will see for those progressive tax rates are either, union thugs steeped in their own class envy resentment, or really rich people who already have their money squirreled away to avoid paying those excessive taxes.

The people who really end up paying it, are the mid to high end middle class, who don't have access to dirty tricks like the rich to avoid paying taxes.
