"Why Aren't Christians More Like Jesus!?!?"--A Blistering BB Article

You can win all day long, Taz. You can win against me. You can even perceive that you win against God. That's fine. You didn't make your life and you don't determine it's eternal destiny. Until then, you have freedom to make posts like this.
But isn't it my destiny to do posts like that? The way god wants me to do it?

There is a lot of tension between pre-destination and free will. We know that God did pre-determine those He would save--that many believe that, many Christians. For me, I hold on to the rest very loosely, because if God is God He knows and can understand infinitely more than I do, and it's foolish for me to think I can figure out all the answers--or would need to--in the years I'm here.

"For now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know even as I am known."--1 Corinthians 13:12

Imagine that. I can't wait. :)
You can't wait to die. It's a cult of death. Which you're in even if you admit to not understanding wtf they are talking about. Pretty sad really.

I thought the same thing when she said "I can't wait".

This for me is actually one of the biggest differences between my pre-Christian life and now. I understand and know that this life is not all there is.
So why don't you off yourself? If you can't wait...

Shame on you. For the same reason one does not put on formal clothes and then shower, take calculus before learning how to add and subtract, etc.

That should be obvious. Murder is a sin

That is loose interpretation. The poor and everyone else benefited from infrastructure. I’m stil looking for where Caeser redistributed the wealth for poor to be clothed, fed, and taken care of. They did not do that.

Again, Bread and Circuses... The Roman state DID feed people. If you look at the Emperors who were truly hated by the Senatorial Class, like Caligula and Nero, it was because they took money from the rich and spent it on games and free food.

Today, Jesus would have a major issue with the State using his name to get people to pay more money and then the State pay themselves and cronies handsomely before it reaching the poor.

Again, where do you back that up. Jesus did have a big problem with rich people. "It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God".

The Statists have issue with Christians telling the state that they will give directly to the poor and not for the state to take more money from them for that cause.

Naw, what we have a problem with is you guys telling women what they should do with their genitalia.

Finally, if the teachings of Jesus are so great, why were they removed from the State schools? Keep cherry picking.

Backwards ass bronze age superstitions aren't needed to tell people to be nice to each other.

True to form, Joe B can't help but fulfill the SATIRE in the OP....where the mockery is people thinking Jesus said to "try more socialism"

Naw, silly is thinking Jesus said, "Hate on Gays and Mexicans", which describes the evangelicals perfectly.

Since you guys are bent on telling Christians to be like Jesus and give more money to the State, then you should have no problems with the teachings of Jesus Christ brought back into the schools and the courts.

This IS a winner.

It's also funny watch them, over the pages, turn INTO the satire in the OP.

I knew they would do this. Heh

So if not for the bible, you'd off yourself?

Well now, if it weren't for the Bible I wouldn't be looking forward to Heaven, would I?

What do you suppose heaven is like?

Fair enough, so tell me, what is it that makes you think that the bible is true?

Just curious on why you think what you do, whether there's something solid behind it or not.

you do know the word rapture never pops up in the bible....its relatively new concept

Why do unbelievers always think we don't know this stuff?

Because you plunk down thousands of dollars on those awful "Left Behind" novels..

Since you guys are bent on telling Christians to be like Jesus and give more money to the State, then you should have no problems with the teachings of Jesus Christ brought back into the schools and the courts.

Naw, we can tell kids good messages without telling them a bunch of malignant superstition.

man that is painfully stupid.

Where was Caesar the welfare state? I base my premise on Jesus clearly stating that people should give to the poor since the money is God’s. Didn’t say anything about the role of caesar in that.

But that's not what Jesus said. Jesus said that the Temple Tax should be paid because Caesar's picture was on the coin. "Render unto Ceasar what is Ceasar's"

The Romans used that money to build aqueducts and public safety and relief for the poor. In short, the welfare state.

The mockery is Jesus being a Capitalist.

Ya, superstition like Jesus wanting the Government to collect money to redistribute wealth after their cronies have been paid off.
