Why are we playing gotcha politics with tapes when BOTH men have extensive records?

I really don't care what either man said to a room full of supporters. Romney has an extensive resume and charitable history. Obama has 4 years as president.

I don't need a tape to tell me Obama believes in redistribution when he has practiced it since day one.

Likewise I don't need a tape to tell me that Obama's base Isnt going to support Romney.


Will either of these campaigns focus on the real issues instead of these petty politics?
