If there is a hard Brexit and Trump offers the promised trade deal to the UK the EU is screwed, blued and tattooed. The EU is staring down the barrel of a gun that they are pointing towards themselves but why are they doing that?

1. Fed interest rate hikes
2. Reaction to U.S. market decline
3. Slowdown of growth in China
4. Tariff wars
5. French anti-AGW protests
6. Ongoing issues with allowing Islamic invasion

Because a lot of powerful people profit from chaos and volatility...and a lot of powerful people are incompetent and amoral.

Are you saying that once the UK completely abandons its trade leverage by leaving the EU, Trump is going to let them trade rape us as some kind of gift? :cuckoo:

I would agree with all of that apart from the last point which just seems gratuitous. Brexit will also affect some European companies as well.

Soros and Buffett and others are on the Short list. I should mention that Buffett has a big stake in GE. I don't think he sold out yet. Knowing him he hedged it to cut his lost.
