Why are republicans automatically considered racist?

Yet the left's embracing of extremism is a good thing??

What extremism? Health Care??? The health Care debate has been going on since Teddy Roosevelt for God's sake!

Let me know when you have something to prove left wing extremism. The Dems have been speaking out against NOTHING different than they have been. It's your side that went extremist.

Just about any issue you post can be researched and I bet that a great majority of them have been tried before.... some of them..... like ohhhhhh the individual MANDATE... by Republicans.

Face it... it's your side that went full retard.

"You start out in 1954 by saying, “******, ******, ******.” By 1968 you can’t say “******” — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states’ rights and all that stuff. You’re getting so abstract now you’re talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you’re talking about are totally economic things and a by-product of them is blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I’m not saying that. But I’m saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, “We want to cut this,” is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than “******, ******.” Lee Atwater, Republican strategist

I once told a white upper middle class republican woman my satire above and straight faced she told me the stereotype was true, a white male also republican sitting nearby reminded me of inner city problems - and you really have to ask?

I wasn't aware they were.

Ask any democrat. :)

Any Democrat? It's really just the far left nutballs that perpetuate this. Your average blue collar Democrat and independents don't really think that way.

That's true. I wouldn't say saying all republicans are racist makes any more sense than saying all democrats think they are. But I think the way republican campaigns are run and the messages that run through them feed that perception. It's also the fact that so much of the party is white males over the age of forty-five.

Progressives have controlled the media and the educational system and they lie about everything. Dem Civil Rights "Hero" LBJ "I'll have them ******* voting Democratic for two hundred years" suppressed Ike Civil Rights Bill for 7 full years until he became President and stuck his name on Ike's Bill.

Back then Dems were just racists, now they're Marxists

I know that I don't "automatically" think Republicans are racist. I know quite a few Republicans that aren't. I will say that all the racists I know ARE Republicans. Any racist emails I get are from my Republican friends. All the racist political "scandals" in the last few years have been Republicans that send racist emails to their friends.

No, not all Republicans are racist, but they have found a comfortable place in the party...the Tea Party even more so.

and there are PLENTY of racist lefties... and it's not just whites being racist against other races... it's other races being racist against whites too

Not all racist are republicans.

The republican party as a party is the party of racism though.

There own words and actions proove it.

its why balck people vote for them in very few numbers.

Racism runs as deep through the Democratic Party as it does through the GOP.

The two parties' platforms themselves prove you wrong.

The GOP, for its entire history, has supported civil rights. The Democrats? Not so much.

Do you know what you are, TM? You're a bigot.

big·ot noun \ˈbi-gət\
Definition of BIGOT

: a person who is obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

There really is no denying this, but you will attempt to...though you will fail.

The left goes further and further left... into the realm of extremism... not just a leg up, it's full blown support of an entitlement system that spreads tentacles further with every DEM who goes a bit further left... it's hate crime bullshit (is there a kindness crime?)... it is forced acceptance... it is a need to have government validate EVERYTHING... it is a need to have government be more and more mommy like, taking every personal responsibility off the individual.... and it gets worse and worse all the time.. moving further and further towards the extreme left...

If you think the left is not highly influenced by extremism... you're blinded and a fool

I'm sure there are plenty of racist "lefties", I'm just saying that I don't ever hear from them. I do hear from my "rightie" racist friends though. They just LOVE sending me those racists emails. I've gotten the watermelon one and the fried chicken one...all from Republicans.

Where do you usually see the racist Obama signs? Tea Party rallies...

This guy was even a TP leader...

Did you really think you scored a point there, Truthbigot?

This is another political stereotype that has always intrigued me. Obviously it's not true. Anyone can produce a list of republicans that are/were not racist. Yet the stereotype persists. Why do you think that republicans are automatically considered racist?

Very simple, its an easy way to shut down debate of an issue.

Instead of having to adress and talk about something you can just say "thats racist" and then you dont have to and can maintain the status quo.

I hear plenty from the other side.. being in an urban area for work... heard plenty during election time in the same urban areas, from ones handing out Obama material.... it's there.. and if you don't hear it, it's because you don't want to

Dude, that's racist. :eusa_snooty:

It is not about history anymore, it's about today. Republicans are just as racist as Democratic Social Liberals. If you belong to an exlusive club that segregats than you are racist. In America being racist is not illeagle. It is just poor taste. Regardless of how much money you have. But the republicans are trying to grab as much wealth as they can, they belive that this will save them when times get bad.
Guess times are bad and the masses have had enough, and it will show at the next election, when the republicans lose the house again like they did last time. And John Bohmer you are a rotten Catholic.
That is comming from another Catholic.
