Ron Paul does not share Reagan's theory of opening and protecting markets by force.

Talk Radio conservatives - I'm talking about the ones who have not had much advanced education - have not been told much about how Reagan used the Cold War to shape the global market system. Reagan used the Soviet Threat to bring resource rich parts of the 3rd world into the global market system, which system was designed to benefit American business. That is the luxury of being the world's sole superpower.

Ron Paul saw Reagan's desire to militarize the middle east and central America as unaffordable. Ron Paul knew that the Reagan model would bankrupt us - which it has.

It's too expensive to police the globe. Reagan's famous Pentagon budget created structural deficits that have never been fixed.

The reason that Conservative voters are afraid of Ron Paul is because they don't even understand why he opposes globalized military capitalism. Ron Paul believes in capitalism by choice, not military force. Ron Paul rejects the military stabilization of the Persian Gulf - he believes Big Oil not the tax payer should protect their own market. Ron Paul doesn't believe American should coerce the 3rd world into the market system. Most Republican posters on this board don't even know what I'm talking about. Why? Because they get their history for Sean Hannity.
