Amusing black humor contrasting the French and the Saudis. Thanks for the link.

Both countries are enemies of America, but it was not Frenchmen that flew jets into the World Trade Center. Saudi Arabia is an evil and deadly enemy of America. I read recently that a high percentage of the foreign murderers tormenting Iraq are Wahhabi psychopaths from Saudi Arabia.

The problem with the current model terrorist is that he/she is not necessarily tied to one specific country. It is true that terrorist organizations cannot survive without support from one government or another, but most of the terrorists we are seeing today are religious fanatics. Their twisted interpretation of a particular ideology spans international borders. There are of course exceptions, but it would appear that many many terrorist organizations have (and will continue to do so) rallied around a core religious belief and other goals are secondary.

The decision to overthrow the Taliban, or Saddam Hussein, is in no way a 'choice' between supporting Chiraq's anti-American policy towards Iraq and his governments own role in illegal oil for food kickbacks, vs. the Saudi royal family's willingness to overlook certain charitable contributions to fundamentalist groups.

Unlike the favored accusation from the left that we Americans supporting Bush operate in a black and white moral standard of behavior which is supposed to be based on ignorance, the fact that BOTH countries indeed operate in the grey insofar as we as intelligent Americans who support Bush in Iraq understand full well.

Indeed, both countries are glaringly obvious as neither operating as Allies or Enemies of America, but simply acting out of self interest. Only a complete fool would imagine that choosing to support one over the other would help clarify their position in this manner.
