Is it the people that we have elected?
Or is the corporations who own most of them?
I don't think it's big business today, instead it's 'interest groups' that have not been so influential in the past. Unions, (never had the power they've wielded since January), community organizers, environmentalists, etc. Same power, distributed differently.
It varies depending on the realm discussed. There certainly is a divergence between the political and financial classes, however.
And where, exactly, do those "interest groups" get their money?
