Is Peter Jennings trying to make up for Rathers lost ratings or what? Watched him last night and I've never heard so many editorial asides in my life. This was after picking apart GOP campaign ads btw. ( I know--I should know better )

In the harsh glare of Rathergate, it looks like these pampered, overpaid newsreaders would try to project at least the pretense of objectivity - for the sake of their own hides, if nothing else. But, no - the idea that anyone, anywhere, cares to hear their opinionated, elitist tripe is just too alluring.
