One thing my brain has never understood is why cuss words offend ppl so deeply. They're just words to me.

My mom's the same way, I couldn't say dang it as a kid cuz it "meant the same thing." If i hear the f bomb or any of the other "major" cuss words it doesn't even raise an eyebrow. Why should it?

I don't have any issue with these groups and ppl speaking out against this, but I'm very much against the things the FCC does. I'd prefer to let ppl use their remote to determine what they'll watch, not gov't.

The point behind my OP is not the content of the show, or particularly the title of the show. My point is, there is an unbelievable level of hypocrisy thriving in the liberal/progressive community, particularly the so-called "entertainment" industry. Imagine screening a program entitled "Muslim ***** on Parade", or "Niggar Whores of the Founding Fathers", or maybe a candid camera program that sneaks up on and reveals secret trysts of homosexuals, "Candid Cocksucker", or some such?

As far as the content of television programming, I made my choice years ago. I almost never see "open-sewer" television, rarely viewing television programs at all (usually while visiting other people), preferring to view DVDs of material I choose. That choice is open to everyone with a TV.

Bad examples IMO. Bitch is one of the most commonly accepted swear words, at least as far as media goes. If it were 'Muslim Bitches on Parade' it would make more sense, etc. I see the point you are making, I just think you are going about it a bit poorly.

As I said, if you had used a hypothetical 'Muslim Bitches on Parade' rather than 'Muslim ***** on Parade' it would have made more sense. ****, ****** and Cocksucker, the examples you gave, all seem to be considered 'worse' or 'stronger' swear words than bitch, at least in the media (and my own personal experience). I don't think the show would ever have been made if it were called 'Good Christian *****'.
