I used to think that, but upsets happen. Clinton was supposed to be the sure thing in 2004, but Obama came out of nowhere. No one thought McCain and then he won.
Sanders is gaining ground and has the form support of the Unions. He speaks about free college and healthcare and doing it off the backs of the rich. Those stances resonate with the with the base of the Dems. Clinton lost in ur debates in 04, it could happen again.
Trump will be all in this time. He has already lost so much by running it would make no sense for him to cut short this time. He has the money to compete. He has shot up in the polls. His taking on China and running on the economy will even win over some left leaners. He is getting vilified in the press for his illegal immigrant stance, but the majority of Americans silently applaud him for it. When it gets to the debates, he is a master communicator and that will give him a bump.
