You can learn all about them, and the Pharisees, and the various power struggles by, you know, reading about them from Jewish sources, as Jeremia documented so well. Jeremia also documents the extensive and detailed 'racial purity' laws dating from the'" Return" as well, they were so important they cover about a third of the book.

Maybe we can ask this question about the Sadducees, that in a revolutionary monotheistic society like the Jewish, the first monotheistic society in the world, fiercely guarding their belief of the one and only God, how did the Sadducees manage to sell their ideology of no afterlife and no spirits and no heaven or hell, maybe not even a God.

This way, the Sadducees seem like the modern socialist, which deny the same things, for the purpose of confusing the general public. Was the aim of those ancient Sadducees the same? To confuse the public?

I think that the Sadducees were ACCOMODATING to the Greek and Roman ideologies. If you check those ideologies carefully AND the ethos of the prominent people----to wit the big shot greeks and romans--- RELIGION is not all that "spiritual" In fact, by that point religion from Greece thru Egypt was really more politics and "spirit" or even "ethics" As to an "afterlife" the concept is very hazy-----some "spirits living somewhere -----maybe in the center of the globe" ???? In fact it is the wealthiest who get the best places-----like box seats.-----if anything at all. I am not sure but believe that the SADDUCEES rejected the idea of "soul" as a concrete item (which it sorta is in standard Pharisee Judaism). You may not be aware----so I will tell you----Sadducean Judaism died a fairly quick death at THAT TIME. The "high priest" CAIAPHAS----who managed to get Jesus crucified was a SADDUCEE------Jesus was a Pharisee------the idea that HEROD was a SADDUCEE is kinda silly------I am not suggesting he was PARTICULARLY a Pharisee--------more like, in reference to religion, an almost jew (actually edomite) who recognized the religious authority of the rabbis, but not enthusiastically.
