Wow, that's quite a distinguished list of supporters. I'm reminded of the old saying "With friends like these, who needs enemies?"

Personally, I agree with the OWS anger at the business side of crony capitalism. I'm not fan of those organizations that took bailouts and that lobby for loopholes and regulations favorable to their business over their competitors. However, I believe their ire should be directed at the politicians that wrote those laws and voted for those bailouts. In my time talking with OWS protesters in Los Angeles, they all called for even bigger government power, not less. Most were out and out socialists or even communists. The above list would appear to support my personal experience.

Imagine that... what happens if the 99% get their way? Perhaps it wouldn't have gotten this bad if Corporatism wasn't the rule of the past 30 years. That's what the Reaganomics legacy has wrought. Fuck the worker coddle the wealthy. Workers are fighting back.

Congratulations. Conservative policies is what got us here.

I'm sorry, but did you just blame corporatism, which I also abhor, on Republicans? While I am not a Republican nor a Democrat, I'll just have to point one thing out to you: Wall Street, that evil den of crony capitalists...is in Chuck Shumer's district. Just saying.

it is clearly an orchestrated event but it could well back -fire on them..this protest could take on an agenda of its own and bite the hand that feeds yet, when it does you will see people clubbed like seal pups and the rubber bullets will fly and there will be mass arrest like we have never seen before

The corporatist cocksuckers see the people who work for them as nothing more than a burden.

I support OWS. And unless they get co-opted by the Left (as the Right is trying to do with the TEA Party) I'll keep support them.

Got it...those evil conservative Democrats like Schumer??? My point is, big government meddling in business, be it from federal Progressives or Conservatives, is equally destructive and equally unconstitutional.

Sounds like a Paulian 'End the Fed' guy. That's fantastic but it's not what OWS is all about...at least not what I've seen and from the list of groups and people supporting OWS, it would appear that bigger government is what they want. I could be wrong and I hope I am!

Who might support OWS in the future?

"With all of the media now focused on the Occupy Wall Street encampment in Lower Manhattan, it’s easy to lose sight of the real human tragedy unfolding right across the bridge. I’m referring to Brooklyn, New York’s most populous borough, which has suffered mightily since the economic meltdown of 2008.

"Though the crowds participating in the Occupy Wall Street movement are now more racially diverse than at the outset of the protests, most disadvantaged Brooklyn residents are still shying away from demonstrations.

"This fact is most glaringly evident when one takes the 2 or 3 train from Fulton Street near the protests and heads out into Brooklyn: while most of the protesters are young and white, the subway riders are predominantly African-American and Caribbean."

Occupy Wall Street Will Only Reach Critical Mass When It Attracts the Minorities of Brooklyn, Across the River | BuzzFlash.org

When OWS bridges the race/class divide in NYC, there will be hundreds of thousands of marchers filling all eight blocks of Wall Street and far beyond.

Just in time for November 2012?
