Who really benefits from R tax "plan"?

But your version of "equal" is wrong as I've shown you. You're more concerned about dollars than you are about people. We live in a country of people, not dollars. I know dollars are all that matter in your version of America, but sorry that doesn't match up with reality. Maybe this isn't the best country for you?

No.. .it is not.. in your bizzaro world, factors of inequality bring equality.. and as shown to you, by definition and nature a progressive system is unequal treatment.. you simply refuse to admit it

You only care about benefit and freedom of SOME at the expense of OTHERS

No, I care about the basic needs of ALL. You don't. I've said I want to ensure ALL have their basic needs, you've stated that you don't care about the poor. Your primary concern is ensuring that the poor stay poor.

More class warfare from the Cons! How typical.
Government does not exist to provide for the basic needs of the people. It does not get any more simple than that.

Government also does not exist to ensure that rich people remain rich.

You'll have to point out to Me where there are actual government programs that specifically helps rich people get rich.

Allowing people to keep what they earn is not ensuring that rich people remain rich. That is really an odd thing for you to say.

You'll have to point out to me where I said "get rich". Whoops, looks like another shift of the argument to fit your storyline. Solid tactic you guys like to use there. Cute too.

Gotta love how a uber-biased piece of shit rag like Salon deems the group 'nonpartisan' when in their own mission statement they are declared to be an advocacy group

So what? They dug up analysis done by a third party think tank, and published the findings. But feel free to shoot the messenger, rather than deal with the facts.

Ah...nice little nit you have there.

Okay, show Me the programs that have been written AND designed to help Rich people STAY rich.

Remember, the tax code IS NOT a program for reducing wealth. That would be illegal.

The tax rates on capital gains compared to tax rates on income is a nice place to start.

YOU want to ensure... but it is not the responsibility of all... and if you want to ensure Joe Crackhead has food, or Sally Singlemom has formula, you have every freedom to do so... hell, you can give X amount of your monies to Family X down the street to help pay their bills.... but you have no right nor freedom to infringe on someone else's rights to force them to provide it to others because you feel it is the 'fair' thing to do

My primary concern is the freedoms and equal treatment of all.... and that is what the government is charged to do.. not to take care of your personal needs for you and not to coddle you because meeting your own personal needs is hard

We both pay the same tax rate on the first dollar we earn. We also both pay the same rate on the $30,000th dollar earned. Also we both pay the same rate on the $250,000 earned and the same rate on the $1,000,000th dollar earned and so on......we both have the same rate, just as everyone else in this country does on each of those dollars.

You're not happy because the rate between dollars differs, but the rate between people earning those dollars is the same. Your priority is not for equal treatment of people, but for equal treatment of dollars. I care more about people than dollars, sorry you don't feel the same.

Dollar 1 is not treated the same as dollar 20001

Progressive systems are ENTIRELY BASED IN INEQUALITY MEASURES AND EQUATIONS.. and by DEFINITION UNEQUAL TREATMENT

My priority is for every dollar earned by every person to be treated exactly the same without exception, loophole, or exemption.... YOUR criteria subjectively leaves out part for your benefit or the benefit of those you support

You only care more for the benefits to SOME people... and care less about the freedoms of others... that is the core of your socialistic belief

You left out the part where the people on top divert as much wealth as their power and positions allow away from the vast majority.

When is someone's wealth and earnings the property of 'the majority'?

I'll give you a little hint... it's not

You don't comprehend well, do you?

The tax rates are not government programs designed to benefit the rich.

When I say a government program, I mean a program like welfare where the rich go and apply for benefits to allow them to remain rich.

I have a thread started based on the attitude I see in this thread. You can find it here:

A biased advocacy group.. not just a 'think tank'

Nice try though

I'm sorry you don't like living in a society. This obviously is not the right country for you. Your primary concern is yourself and the wallets of your corporate masters. Bow down.

Lets hope the ones benefitting are those earning income and not freeloading parasites...................

Why would the rich need that when they have the tax code rigged in their favor as I've pointed out.

It's property of the majority when their effort and talents are used to generate the product of their labor. The people who you appear to admire are generally no more than thieves.
