Who knew that... San Diego almost-ex-Mayor and sexual harasser Bob Filner, and New York soon-to-wannabe Mayor and sexual fruitcake Anthony Weiner, were both born on the same birthdate, Sept. 4?

I wanted to make sure there was an IMPORTANT thread in the forum today.

BTW, on the same day, but in 1957, two other similarly-fated events happened:

1.) Gov. Orval Faubus (D-AR) called out the Arkansas National Guard to prevent black children from entering the formerly all-white Little Rock High School, in violation of the Brown v. Board of Education ruling by the Supreme Court mandating school integration. Weeks later, Republican President Eisenhower federalized the AR National Guard, and then sent in the 101st Airborne Division to enforce the court order. Faubus then shut down all high schools in Little Rock for the 1958-1959 year, rather than admit black students.

2.) Ford Motor Company introduced the Edsel.
