George W Bush, Richard Nixon, Herbert Hoover, James Buchanan...all complete and epic failures. Yet Americans continue to elect white males into the presidency.

Firstly, I'm not sure that any Georgians have really run for president since Carter. Secondly, I wasn't aware that Georgians constitute a race. Thirdly, there are plenty of states that have never had one of their own elected to the presidency, while there are just a handful that have had multiple individuals elected to the presidency throughout their history.

To say that another black man will not be elected to the highest office based on the performance of this one is a very backward statement, one that we were supposed to have overcome by electing a non-caucasian to begin with. Very disappointing indeed.

Newt Gingrich is from Georgia and right wingers are pushing him to run for President.

Aren't they afraid he will be like Jimmy Carter?

Actually, Jimmy Carter was a better President and a better person than Newt would ever be

A Newt/Palin ticket would guarantee Obama gets reelected.

Much of Christian ideology is based on the profession of faith in Jesus Christ. If some says they are a Christian. They are a Christian. But what the hell different does it make it he is Christian, Jew, Muslim, or whatever?

You're right.....one's religion does not really matter.....unless it is anti-American and one's beliefs and actions are anti-American in the political sphere...

Collective salvation is anti-American....and Obama supports that...

Yes, I am implying the Islamic faith is anti-American when it intrudes into our political world.

Collective salvation is the idea that you cannot be saved unless the whole group is saved....thus everything you do is subjective to the group ideology or the "greater good".....therefore if you contradict the group's imperatives you must be punished...

Collective salvation is at the root of Marxism. If you don't agree with and bow to the ideas for the common good you are punished or at the very least "re-educated"....

Islam is both political and religious in nature and submission is the name of the game. The Islamic faith deems everyone who is not a believer to be an "infidel". Sharia law is anti-American.

Christians do not believe in collective salvation....they believe in individual salvation....

America (having been created upon Christian principles) also believes in the individual and individual freedom as opposed to the collective.....

This is why Obama is a threat to the American way...his "collective salvation" beliefs do not jive with true Americans...

Many factors are already in Obama's favor..

1. His is a Historic Presidency. Yes, Being the first Black to become President is Historic
2. He follows a completely inept President (see Lincoln, FDR, Reagan)
3. He took over two wars
4. He took over the worst economy in 70 years
5. He passed an Historic Healthcare Bill

This is only 18 months into his term. The economy will get better. Our involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan will end. Obama will get credit.

Obama rising from a mixed race family to the Presidency was historic. At the time Obama was born, many states would have lynched his father for marrying a white woman. For him to rise in politics at such a rapid pace and gain the Presidency was a truly historic accomplishment.

his race does not make him a good or bad president...

it may be a historical factor, but it has no bearing on his greatness as president...once again, we have a liberal focusing on race while proclaiming that is conservatives who are racist

No more so than George Washington receiving credit for being the First President. Both faced their own challenges

I watched Obama today giving his speech in the Rose Garden. He got upset and visibly irritated by the sound. I think he needs another vacation. He's obviously over worked and stressed out.
