Glenn Beck, doing probably the best journalism since Woodward and Burnstein in exposing government corruption has whipped the curtain back from this wizard of oz.

Why should we care? He's just a sociology professor at the University of WI: Madison... right?

Here's the man, leading the philosophical and sociological sea change we see in government today. Hour 2 of Glenn Beck's show has a clip of Van Jones praising Joel Rodger's work in helping bring about this progressive revolution. This guy seems to have helped mainstream radical socialist revolutionary theory and help come up with plans to fundamentally reshape this nation. Here's his bio at the Apollo Alliance (a radical ecoleft political action group) which he is director of. Look who else is there with him.

The Apollo Alliance Directors

This is also the group that was responsible for key pieces of the bailout legislation (and carved themselves a nice little service fee of $80 billion out of it)

We need to take a closer look at this guy and see how many pies his fingers are in, and how he is related to this quickly closing noose around the neck of Uncle Sam by this radical administration. Here's what fellow progressives say about his Seminar as well a bit about what he teaches.

Progressive Strategy Studies Project

The rats are in the walls, and they are shredding the timbers with incredible speed. We must look at doing something, fast.

They will see the words "Glenn Beck" and proceed to mock him, tell you what a loon he is, tell you he's an alcoholic, and discount anything he may say (because, you know, he's Glenn Beck) and never address the topic of the OP, unless it's to make fun of it and call you a conspiracy nut.

And yet, as Beck himself pointed out today.... he's been proven wrong only once. Van Jones wasn't a felon, he was only imprisoned.

Let them say it's a conspiracy though. They'd be right. A progressive conspiracy to destroy America and replace it with their planned 'utopia'... for progressives. All others must go.

It is remarkable how intertwined these lefty organizations are... and how much money is being passed around.
It is, indeed, as Beck said.. "like a big MOB family".

It wouldn't be fair to say I couldn't believe my ears when Beck tied in the New Party... but still, it was jaw-dropping when one considers the absolute "audacity" of these people, and the almost total lack of intellectual curiosity on the part of America's journalists. The leftists count on the idea that people won't take the trouble to check out all their connections and covers... and so far, the only one who has is Beck.

Thank you for the very informative post on who Joel Rodgers is, but I am still waiting for the "why we should care" part?
Because this man is at the center of an organization pushing for the overturn of this nation's fundamental values, structure and beliefs.

I don't know about you, but if Pat Robertson had gotten $80 billion carved out for his organization from the bailout fund and is pushing plans to shred the founding documents to create a theocracy (instead of neo-feudalism that will result from the progressives), you'd be wanting to know about it.

Why is this man associated with the leaders of such radical groups that are getting billions of our tax money to destroy our nation? Seem important to you?

No. But then again, I don't believe a damn thing that comes out of either side of Glenn Beck's ass, so we have differing opinions.

Beck, among all the more popular pundits these days, has risked the most and stuck his neck out the farthest to raise the red flags and whistle blow as events unfold on the national scene. Hannity, Inghraham, Limbaugh et al all focus on the visible and more easily understandable. Beck has been digging and digging and digging to highlight the larger more invisible picture.

Sooner or later, if we do not have a constitutional challenge to czars and others with a great deal of influence and authority in the administration, but who have oversight or review by nobody, we will lose some of the most precious ideals of this country. Even more sinister are those who are running the show in an even more invisible way than the czars. I'm thinking of organizations including the Apollo Alliance (Rogers), ACORN, SEIU, AFL-CIO, Goldman Sachs, Al Gore, Vance Jones, Bill Ayers, et al.

All support single payer universal healthcare.

And all support Cap and Trade which is probably going to be the next big issue toward our spiral into total control by big government and the dismantling of many of the basic concepts of individual rights, choices, opportunities, freedoms.

I used to wonder if we were going to have a civil war.

Now I just wonder what kind of war awaits us? What will we repeat?

The French or Russian Revolutions or the English Civil War?

I watched the program. I was frankly quite taken aback by the amount of corruption within the progressive movement. It seems there are about 10 guys who are running the whole show with Soros and Rodgers at the apex of this pile of filth. it's unbelievable how the Democrats can rail about how Bush bled the treasury dry when we have these clowns DOING THE EXACT SAME THING!!!

No, the treasure has already been bled dry of all the payments on the principle. These guys are looting the principle because it's the only way to destroy this nation and replace it with their progressive 'utopia'. Nothing like making the next 4 generations indentured servants to change a culture.

Interesting. Thomas Sowell, one of my favorite economists and historians, said much the same thing in his most recent essay:

Excerpt:
Ironically, the United States is moving in the direction of the kind of economy that China has been forced to move away from. China once had complete government control of medical care, but eventually gave it up as the disaster that it was.

The current leadership in Washington operates as if they can just set arbitrary goals, whether "affordable housing" or "universal health care" or anything else — and not concern themselves with the repercussions — since they have the power to simply force individuals, businesses, doctors or anyone else to knuckle under and follow their dictates.

Friedrich Hayek called this mindset "the road to serfdom." But, even under serfdom and slavery, experience forced those with power to recognize the limits of their power. What this administration — and especially the President — does not have is experience.

Barack Obama had no experience running even the most modest business, and personally paying the consequences of his mistakes, before becoming President of the United States. He can believe that his heady new power is the answer to all things.
Thomas Sowell

Hmmm...no one denying what Rodgers is up to. Just deflection. Waiting for the retort talking points oh brainless ones?

They never heard of Rogers until Fitz brought him up. And to learn what he is all about they would actually have to read.

That is asking a lot. :)

I love Thomas Sowell. His book "A Conflict of Visions" was one of the best books on political theory and philosophy I've ever read, because it explained precisely what this whole issue is about.

Either you believe in special rules to achieve an equality of results
Or you believe in equal rules and the results are what they are.

That pretty much nails it in my book.

Equality of results or equality of rules.

Which do you love more and see as just?

Thank you for the very informative post on who Joel Rodgers is, but I am still waiting for the "why we should care" part?

Because Beck said to of course. Dummy.

And we all know that right wing groups are not intertwined at all.
No connection between Beck and the Tea Party for instance is there?

You don't think he had a point?
