It's not much different from owning a home, or a car.

Like homes or cars, owning an oil or natural gas well isn't free. And it comes with responsibilities.

But the neat thing is, oil and gas wells can make you a tidy income.

Or not.

Unfortunately, my production of natural gas already exceeds all recognized safety limits.

Not really. I've owned royalties but not the well. I've operated and managed the wells, as the production engineer in charge could do whatever I wished with them, but never owned one.

Wells are work. I'll take my override and call it a day.
