There IS no genuine radical left IN America; why the far right ignores the fact we were attacked by ultra conservative religious zealots in 2001, started an unnecessary war against the ultimate conservative dictator, and face no threats form any "socialist, communist, statist" regimes, is the question.

Would a rational Republican, or most any Democrat, been as reluctant to confront the terrorists financiers as was Bush? It is sad that so few conservatives understand that today, as in decades past, the greatest threat to this nation is NeoFascist, not 'leftist'. Perhaps the hatred expressed toward the President that led us to victory over fascism is telling.

It is as though the many who have died fighting for this nation against Fascists mean nothing to the far right in America.

You cannot point to anyone numerous or important who is openly pushing a socialist agenda with broad nationalization schemes and widespread confiscation of excess wealth and property. All of these far leftist agendas have been attributed to them by political enemies rather than by any statements made by them. Of course you will just assume they are lying rather than accept that the big socialist dreams of the last century are dead and have no broad appeal here.

Proving my point, there is portion on the far right that does not even know what fascism is, what al Qaeda stands for, or that the AXIS was NOT 'liberal'. Those who paid little attention in middle school & high school, and pick up catchy phrases from 'talk radio' babbling heads.

There is no radical left, except a few ignored creatures on street corners handing out home made copies of what used to be The Daily Worker. I remember one sad guy from college, when I saw a headline that had "busing" spelled as "bussing", I knew the 'communist' paper could not be worth the time to read it; actually wasting the time to read an issue or two confirmed my suspicions.

The National Review is not for the extreme right. I see AIM, 'rightwingnews', Drudge, Beck, Coulter, and many others so far right it is scary, nauseating actually. Genuine conservative thought is almost abandoned, George Will is one of the the last of the sane.

Name a few, just a few, widely distributed RADICAL left wing media outlets or persons.

I left out the odious Rep. Steve King, as his website doesn't count as actual media.

Very few Americans realize there exists a large network of far left philanthropists and foundations in America...

without digressing into diatribe, those first few words are true. For one example, economist David Colander's textbook Macroeconomics references the PBS Lehrer Newshour program on TV; and is referenced by the decades-running Progressive publication Real World Macro series of explicitly politically partisan textbook supplements. Thus, there really are vast networks of pundits & professors -- on TV, in universities, in print -- who plainly profess their common partisan politics.

Economics deals with money. Down on earth, there is nothing more important than money & wealth, besides human limb & life. Any "coloring", "tinting", "hue-ing", "tinging", or other biases, about money, for partisan political purposes... are highly divisive. That divisiveness is plainly apparent in this thread. Apparently, the "cost" of all the networking & socializing is deep, and deepening, divisions, which really do come from the "Left"... but also from the "Right". In analogy, the divisions resemble "gang wars" in movies, between "east side" & "west side" (say)... and between them both, the whole city gets shot up.
