If you mean "America" that's very complicated indeed.

If you mean the United States, that would be Liberals.

Can't hep' ya with the horse stuff though.

(?)
Discovery: Vikings.
First permanent settlement: Pilgrims.
Creation of the United States: There were no political parties at the time of our nation's creation, only some differing opinions as to the rights for its citizens and not wanting an oppressive government, as England was.

Ah but he didn't say political parties, he said "Liberals or Conservatives".*

The latter were the Royalists who fancied staying part of the British Empire, the former were the rebels who reasoned that power derives from the consent of the governed and not from some racketeer collusion of aristocracy and clergy.
.
"America" of course is much more complicated, that's where your Vikings come in. The first permanent settlement I suspect was in Hispaniola, which is now split between the DR and Haiti.

Fun fact: Haiti was the second independent republic in the Americas, and it took us eons to recognize that.

* actually his title says "left wing or right wing" which is different from "Liberals or Conservatives" so he doesn't seem to get that. :dunno:

I was citing the first permanent settlement (Jamestown) in the actual North American Continent not the Caribbean islands.

Right, the founding fathers are "liberals" who reject everything you believe in.

I know but he said "America" which is two continents. And Leif Ericsson landed in what is now Canada, so that's not the US. It's either "America" or "the US", can't be both. He also said "founded", which sounds like he means the US.

On the continental landmasses proper, São Vicente was founded in what is now Brazil in 1532.

The indisputable answer is CONSERVATIVES! No matter what they thought of or called themselves at the time. The simple proof of that is had Liberals founded the USA, conservatism would be outlawed and conservatives would all be illegal, censured and locked away in prison on hate-speech charges.

Only Conservatives are stupid enough to create a great country as this then open the doors to all no matter how different, including those who hate and want to destroy you.

The first settlers tried liberalism they almost starved to death after some who were working and contributing noticed others were not. So they also stop contributing

Americans don't have to question what someone means when they say America. An American would know that a person is talking about the United States of America.

As William Bradford recorded in his Of Plymouth Plantation, a people who had formerly been known for their virtue and hard work became lazy and unproductive. Resources were squandered, vegetables were allowed to rot on the ground and mass starvation was the result. And where there is starvation, there is plague. After 2 1/2 years, the leaders of the colony decided to abandon their socialist mandate and create a system which honored private property. The colony survived and thrived and the abundance which resulted was what was celebrated at that iconic Thanksgiving feast.
Occupy Plymouth Colony: How A Failed Commune Led To Thanksgiving

Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank chides Dick Armey today for having said that socialism caused starvation at Jamestown. "Who knew they had socialists in 1607?" Milbank asks.

Actually, lots of people know this. As I wrote three years ago:

Four hundred years ago today 105 men and boys disembarked from three ships and established the first permanent English settlement in North America. They built a fort along what they called the James River, in honor of their king.

The land was lush and fertile, yet within three years most of the colonists died during what came to be known as "the starving time." Only the establishment of private property saved the Jamestown colony.

What went wrong? There were the usual hardships of pioneers far from home, such as unfamiliar diseases. There were mixed relations with the Indians already living in Virginia. Sometimes the Indians and settlers traded, other times armed conflicts broke out. But according to a governor of the colony, George Percy, most of the colonists died of famine, despite the "good and fruitful" soil, the abundant deer and turkey, and the "strawberries, raspberries and fruits unknown" growing wild.
Socialism at Jamestown

This is the reason leftist want to ERASE America's history
