who else here hates the yankees?

They essentially attempt to buy their titles. So do the Red Sox, now. What's wrong with baseball is they lack a serious revenue sharing agreement to level the playing field between large market and small market teams. The NFL has proven that you can still have dynasties without the need to outright buy them.

Nah, profit sharing works for football, but leave baseball alone. It ain't broke, so don't try to fix it.

It's interesting to me that conservatives would call for profit sharing amongst teams.

Those are privately run companies. Profit sharing, for all intents and purposes, is like taxing the richer teams and providing the poorer ones with the means to compete.

Sounds pretty damn liberal to me.

I will always root for the Red Sox, even though i have retired to AZ, and i think the Celtics are going all the way this year. Patriots blew it big time.

Diamondbacks are the best team in baseball right now. Of course, I usually root for the Red Sox for an American League team. Thought the jersey in the stadium was a hoot.

You bitches really have nothing to compare with the SKILL and BADASSEDNESS of the St. Louis Cardinals.

meh.. we decided to pass it around after taking it in 06 - The year of the New Bush Stadium.

what can I say.. Having actually won the World Series enough to avoid turning losses into a CURSE works for me. twice in HOW long?

yea.. impressive.

86 years?

The heat is on, bitches.

Dont be bitter because our pitchers can hit the ball.

My Phils had a winning April, and just took over possession of first in the NL East tonight.

Brad Lidge is LIGHTS OUT, and Utley's going to make the Phils 3-peat for the MVP.

I got tickets for a Sox/Phils game later this year.

Our pitcher hits better then your pitcher

Micah Owings, probably the only pitcher in baseball to get used as a pinchhitter. And he hits the 1st pitch out for a game tying two run homer.

I don't know dude, Cole Hamels has been a pretty good hitter so far in his career. I believe he has pinch hit before, but it was probably during an extra innings game when all position players had been used up.

You do have a damn good squad this year though. I can't wait to play you. I'd love to see a Hamels Vs. Webb game.

You guys can keep your .068 hitters in the lineup and "manage" around the automatic out, and we'll keep our DH.

It will be fun.
