I'm willing to wager that the 49% of Americans that pay NO taxes are mostly Democrats so I will have to go with Republicans paying more taxes.

Oh thats right! I forgot about the bottom 60% of the populace paying no taxes but instead receiving money from the government.

Hey lets not forget some banks that pay no income taxes but got bailed out.

According to the numbers the largest single source of federal revenue is from withholding tax (43.5 %), one of the smallest is from corporate taxes (12%).

Used to be a time when the government was almost completely supported by Tariffs. Oh for THOSE heady times again when foreign nations paid for our government.

How about we chuck all exemptions and loopholes and see how this all shakes out shall we?

Yep just go to a flat 10% tax on all income no exceptions or exclusions.

You make one dollar you pay a dime, you make billions you pay the same percentage.
