Corporate donors (ahem... persons) decde the elections. Regular citizens no longer have any real voice... we get to vote between who the corporate interests choose for us.

It's not a who, but what and the what is $$$$$.

You both make a very valid point. Citizen's United only exacerbates that.

Our votes don't matter. Legislators work for lobbyist checks. Just ask Boehner...

Why would lobbyists pick Bush in 2004, then Obama in 2008? To confuse us? ; )

Not only that, but their lobbyists also pay to pack regulatory boards with corporate shills. There is no reason that an executive from the most evil corporation on earth, Monsanto should have ANY say in Food Safety. It's sickening.

Oh, we pick who represents us...they just don't work for us. If they did, health reform would have included a public option. The lobbyists made sure it didn't.

Laws & legistatiors bought for the corporations, by the corporations and regulated by corporate apologists. We are essentially doomed and in a race to the bottom. So sad.
