When former president Bill Clinton left office in 2000 there was a
$86.4 billion surplus. When former president George W. Bush left office in 2008 there was a $1.5 trillion budget deficit. Bush spend the surplus and borrowed and spend money we did not have and he left that mess to Obama. Obama is not cleaning us the mess fast enough so he gets blamed. The rise in unemployment from jobs loss that did not end when he left office. He waged two wars not paid for. The lost jobs led to more on food stamps, welfare, disability claims and unemployment claims. The Afghanistan and Iraq war created 624,000 disability claims and many more are expected creating a rise in disability claims that Obama get blamed for. If Obama has not ended the Iraq war there would be more claims. Then the homeless and unemployed vets returning. Obama did not create the need for these entitlement programs, Bush did and daddy Bush was not able to bail him out. Obama’s spending is for those unemployed and disabled. Unemployment create more mental problem leading to disabilities.
Give credit where credit is due. Bush created the need for entitlements. Bush left office three years ago but the effect of his 8 years is still felt and will be for many year to come. Obama has kept us from sinking.

Bill Clinton limited entitlements. Obama extended them. Our deficit is $15 TRILLION. ( and you worry about 1.5? The wars DID NOT create 624,000 disability claims.

Your posts are always about entitlements and never about the personal responsibility people have toward the country. Who said, "It is not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country?" How soon we forget.

We are sinking in debt and suffering from more entitlements not related to any wars.
