Who are the most admirable members of the Tea Party Caucus?

As much as I don't like the Tea Party, I really find Barack Obama more objectionable. For instance, that Obama book has been around a number of years... and Obama didn't already read it? Yeah, right. I bet he has that book memorized. But, let's suppose for a moment that the book got it wrong. Obama let a lie stand. So, Obama would be a liar.

We've heard, in its context, the things that Rev. (sic) Wright had to say about the white people. EVERYBODY is acquainted with Obama's racist and Marxist leanings. Obama even put Sotomayor on the Supreme Court:

http://christwire.org/2009/05/sonia-sotomayor-socialist-commie-yearbook-quote/

I won't let the Tea Party off just yet. They had Glenn Beck - the man drawing his paycheck from a corporation owned by a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and another guy, a Saudi Prince. Bachmann made her living working for the IRS, enforcing a law that was cut and copied from the Communist Manifesto. I could go on, but want someone to tell me something I don't know about the Tea Party.

The Tea Party is not Glenn Beck's. The vast majority of the Tea Party are average hard-working Americans who simply want smaller govt intrusion into their lives and less money taken out of their pay so they can take care of their own family first. I have attended many TP events and I am certainly not a Glenn Beck fan. There is a lot of propaganda flying around these days. It takes some time to filter out the BS from the facts.

I am going on perception, but what I see is what I see: large rallies headed up by Glenn Beck and people like Herman Cain as a major speaker. I know Herman personally and even when I would catch him in a lie, he'd go right back to the lie a week after he got busted.

I once challenged the Tea Party on a sign that a man was carrying and it is now liberal fodder to "prove" the Tea Party is racist:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S38VioxnBaI]TEA PARTY RACISM: What The Media Won't Show You About Teabagger Racism - YouTube[/ame]

See it at 3: 40 into the video (BTW, some of that stuff is true and funny, but one guy can muck it up - and in this case, since it was not condemned until AFTER the fact - and the Tea Party never apologized for that guy, it is what it is.

I had a blood bath in a Tea Party setting once when I challenged the Tea Party on that one. IF the Tea Party was not racist, they should have ejected that guy post haste.

I'm not wanting to start a flame fest with you, only giving you my perceptions based upon my experiences.

The Tea Party talks a lot about cutting the cost of government, but they have been forced to sign onto the most costly wastes of taxpayer money in recorded history. Sometimes it's a question of where the "cuts" are supposed to come from.

We can get past generalities. I'm still having a hard time with a "movement" who recruits a former IRS agent. But, if I get 'em wrong, I'm sure you'll steer someone that will address my concerns. Thanks.

Anyone with a sign can show up in a free nation like the USA. Does the Tea Party endorse those signs? Here's what's going on. The Tea Party threatens the freebies that the Democrats and Republicans have been spending for votes, outrageous pensions, salaries, etc. If the Tea Party is successful, then all these politicians and govt employees are going to get less. The bloated govt is now at war with the people who want to make it smaller and less expensive. This has nothing to do with race and never has. Race is the excuse just like race is the excuse in the Martin/Zimmerman tragedy. Propganada and nothing more.

That's it in a nutshell.

Buford,

I feel like I'm beating a dead horse, so I'll review and move a step further:

I went to a group of Tea Party folks promoting a ning site and we had a nasty discussion about that sign. They were not apologetic about it at all. For them, they simply did not care that the Tea Party was sympathetic to racists.

I admit that not all Tea Party types are racist. They play this game wherein anyone can claim to be Tea Party. That way, if a subdivision of the Tea Party gets busted, they have plausible deniability. Okay, so that's a good political ploy, but let me go a step further.

The Tea Party claims, among its supporters U.S. Rep. James Sensenbrenner. Sensenbrenner introduced the so - called "Patriot Act" into Congress AND he authored and introduced the National ID / REAL ID Act.

The Tea Party has backed politicians that have introduced government spending in the TRILLIONS of dollars while those same bills attack the Constitution and repeal the Bill of Rights. The worse part is, Sensenbrenner's constituency and other voters are more likely to be targets of Sensenbrenner's legislation than they are to benefit off of it. I'm skeptical of the Tea Party: Michelle Bachmann, Glenn Beck, Rep. Sensenbrenner... the embarrassing names keep popping up.

The Tea Party Caucus has a number of members who make the news for negative reasons. From the merely gaffe-prone to the hypocritical to the over-the-top disgraceful.

If you are a fan of this group, I invite you to put in a good word for one or more of the members. I'd like to hear some good things to maybe dislodge the bad images. I don't have ready access to conservative news outlets such as Fox, so I might have missed something which is common knowledge to you.

TIA

I couldn't think of any.

Hey, isn't there that guy who owes lots of child support. He's probably the most moral among the Republicans. I bet he loved those kids before they were born. Republicans seem to lose interest shortly after birth.

Allen West. He is serious about what he is there to do. I see a lot of potential.

I got my information from Richard Draper's book on the congress in question.

Congressman Allen West

And I've been to numerous Tea Party events over the last 3 years and haven't seen ONE racist sign. You keep being skeptical of the Tea Party if that's what you want to do. Free country.
