Whitney Houston Died

She had an incredibly beautiful voice for the time she chose to use it. It was a gift and it is sad she chose to throw that wonderful gift away! People like me who can't carry a tune in a sponge understand my statement. I had a front row seat to her Nashville concert in 1989 or 90, don't recall which year it was. She was sensational!

Dolly Parton wrote that song. And when Dolly Parton sang that song she took her money to the bank. When Whitney sang that song for The Bodyguard, Whitney bought the bank. Incidentally, I saw on a talk show that they didn't have a song for that movie until the very end. Searched and searched and could never find a good one. It was Kevin Costner who suggested this one almost at the end of shooting the movie.
