First whitey Bulger dies conveniently in prison then Jeffrey Epstein dies conveniently in prison. Why are these characters dying conveniently in prison? Let’s begin with Bulger.
Whitey Bulger had long relationship with the FBI. He was an FBI informant who murdered his competition with the assistance of the FBI and in fact he likely emerged from the shadowland of the corrupted forces infecting the agency going back decades.
His well-connected brother, William Bulger, a Massachusetts State Representative, was instrumental in the appointment of John Connolly, a rogue agent who was Whitey’s long term handler and de facto accomplice in crimes resulting in the deaths of several people who could finger Whitey implicating both he and Connolly. Connolly is still serving a 40-year prison term in Florida for his part in the murder of a Bulger associate. Radio personality Howie Carr has written extensively about Bulger and Connolly.
Only the most gullible of citizens hasn’t figured out by now that Bulger had the goods on the FBI and could name names, dates and places implicating powerful people in the bureau; powerful people like Robert Mueller and others. Bulger’s untimely death will ensure golden silence.
Epstein’s puzzling prison suicide is incredibly suspicious since he was purportedly on a 24-hour suicide watch. But Epstein’s demise is an interesting bookend to the Bulger incident. He was never going to see the light of day again his lavish lifestyle would be replaced with the boredom of solitary confinement for his own protection.
As the days, hours and years drag by inmates can buy some comfort with information on fellow culprits and those culprits like high officials in the Justice Department don’t want to be identified. Some of those globe-trotting miscreants go as high as the British Royal Family in Epstein’s sordid underage sex junkets so whatever lurked in the memory of Jeffrey Epstein could never be allowed to be spoken or written.
We can buy the government-issue explanation of what happened to Bulger and Epstein but we’d be buying a pig in a poke. The only thing we know for sure is that some very highly placed criminals will sleep more soundly. This is the world we live in today with movers and shakers comprised of killers and child rapists.
Can we change anything? Not without wiping the slate clean of just about our entire US leadership. Don’t hold your breath on that happening.
