One of the tenents of the early Russian Communists seeking to bring down Czarist Russia was the theory that a truly reactionary government minister was better than a liberal one since their actions would so enrage the people, thus bringing on the revolution sooner rather than later.

This sort of pragmatic (somewhat cynical) thinking is not uncommon in dedicated revolutionaries, regardless of their political stripe.

Given what those White Supremecists believe about O, given their world view of the White'Black divide in America, I can see how they might be thrilled having a Black POTUS.

"In 1961, a young African-American man, after hearing President John F. Kennedy's challenge to, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country," gave up his student deferment, left college in Virginia and voluntarily joined the Marines. In 1963, this man, having completed his two years of service in the Marines, volunteered again to become a Navy corpsman. (They provide medical assistance to the Marines as well as to Navy personnel.)

The man did so well in corpsman school that he was the valedictorian and became a cardiopulmonary technician. Not surprisingly, he was assigned to the Navy's premier medical facility, Bethesda Naval Hospital, as a member of the commander in chief's medical team, and helped care for President Lyndon B. Johnson after his 1966 surgery. For his service on the team, which he left in 1967, the White House awarded him three letters of commendation. What is even more remarkable is that this man entered the Marines and Navy not many years after the two branches began to become integrated.

It's funny. He says he served six years of active duty, but nowhere does it say when or where. I also can't find it on any of his other biographical websites. In fact, if you Google "Jeremiah Wright" active duty, all you find is this same article you provided over and over and over again.

So, I'm inclined to believe that the author of that article made it up and/or was misinformed. I'll need more information than "he served six years on active duty."

It's funny that you're defending Wright. Even Barack didn't do that.

It teaches that there are two groups whites, ie oppressors, and blacks, ie victims of oppression. The purpose of BLT, forgive me for the pun, is to break chains of oppression.

You see, as hard as it is for you and me to understand, black and white are symbolic, not literal. White does not mean white-skinned, anglos etc., rather it means oppressors. For example Pharoah and Egyptians, white, moses and jews = black. Poor = black, rich = white. They are just relative terms.

Like when a catholic calls someone a "Phillistine" they mean "non-believe or sinner" not literally someone from Palestine.
