Intelligence has everything to do with a person's level of success in our world. Across the globe, the smarter you (or a race, or a country) is or are, the higher the level of wealth. Not testing for it won't remove its existence any more than not measuring for height will change the fact of height -- or height difference.

As the title implies, Richard Lynn's new book builds on Herrnstein and Murray's (1994) The Bell Curve. The theme of the book is an examination of whether the same type of racial hierarchy in IQ and socio-economic status that Herrnstein and Murray documented in the US is present in other parts of the world. Herrnstein and Murray found that the average IQ for African Americans (85) is lower than for Hispanic (89), White (103), East Asian (106), and Jewish Americans (113). Lynn shows in detail that similar racial IQ/socio-economic hierarchies are present within Africa, Australia, Brazil, Britain, Canada, the Caribbean, Latin America, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.

Throughout the world, Europeans and East Asians (Chinese, Japanese and Koreans) average the highest IQs and socio-economic positions, while the lowest averages are found among the Aborigines in Australia and in Africans and their descendants. Intermediate positions are occupied by the Amerindians, the South Asians from the Indian subcontinent, the Maori in New Zealand, and the mixed race peoples in South Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean. The same pattern is found on multifarious social and life history indicators such as educational levels, earnings, health, accidents, crime, marriage, fertility, and mortality.

Lynn's new book provides fascinating historical vignettes to describe all the migrations and mixing of peoples. It also provides clear tables of data, which allow the reader to check the facts for themselves. For example, in Brazil, it is the Japanese who are the highest achieving population. They were brought in as indentured labourers to work the plantations after slavery was abolished in 1888. Yet, today, the Japanese outscore Whites on IQ tests, earn more, and are over-represented in university places. Although they are less than 1% of the total population they comprise 17% of the students at the elite University of Sao Paulo.

In Caribbean countries such as Cuba, Trinidad, and Guyana, it was the Chinese and South Asians who were brought in after the end of slavery. Subsequently, they too began to do well, with the Chinese excelling and the South Asians placing intermediate to Whites and Blacks. In Britain large numbers of Blacks from Africa and the Caribbean, and South Asians from Africa, India, and Pakistan began to enter the country in the 1950s and 1960s. Twenty-two studies find Afro-Caribbeans have a median IQ of 86, which is similar to the African American mean of 85. Twelve studies find the South Asians have a median IQ of 92. In Africa and Australia too, South Asians average intermediate to Whites and Blacks in IQ scores, educational achievement, and economic success.

At the other end of the IQ distribution, seven studies of Jews in Britain yield a median IQ of 110. In educational achievement, East Asians in Britain also outperform the indigenous Whites. Similarly in Australia, East Asians (mostly Chinese and Vietnamese) average higher than Whites in IQ, educational achievement, and earnings. Lynn describes pockets of ethnic Chinese elsewhere in the world such as in Mexico, Argentina, and especially Hawaii, where they also do well. In Canada too, there is an IQ hierarchy: Jews (109), East Asians (101), Whites (100), Amerinidians (89), and Blacks (84).

If perchance you were to take this information and try to use it for eugenics, your logical conclusion would be that Blacks and Hispanics of Amerind extraction should be eliminated. It is very dangerous stuff that you play with. The originators of the Georgia Guidestones are a group that proposed the elimination of the inferior species of human beings with the desire to get the world's population down to an easily maintained half a billion verses the six and a half billion that presently overcrowd this small planet. They want to see Africa, southeastern Asia and Latin America returned to the wild with the land reserved for the naturalflora and fauna of those areas. When I asked their representative John Rysinga about the people of those lands, he said that they needed to be eliminated. Obviously, his plan would not be accepted by any moral people in leadership. Yet, you wonder.

Yes, the world is overpopulated. Horribly so! What if the nations of Europe united in a plan to "remove all of the inferior people of the Earth to provide more "lebensraum" (living room) for the more intelligent people. With modern bio warfare capacity, designer illnesses could be manufactured and distributed among the people of Africa and Latin America and South Eastern Asia while people in Europe and the United States could be immunized. Within a few weeks, the White Racists could rule the world and their best competition the East Asians might develop a vaccine too late to save a preponderance of their population. The world would soon be mostly White and then what? Other than the reduction in the population, would that be a good thing? Would the Whites then kill the few remaining Blacks, Browns and eastern Asians?

I take it that the majority of people on this board do not accept religion, so I know that with them, there would not be a moral concern. My conviction is that Religion was invented by man to guarantee continuance of moral standards that developed within a culture, and in that regard, religion is very valuable. We are discarding religion in the West, BUT, think about the travesty and the inhumanity and immorality that accompany such evil thought processes. Without a Christian God or Islamic God or Jewish God, genocide is freely allowed. We even have seen limited genocide with a majority of people believing in God. We have seen enough of man's inhumanity to man even with those Gods of cultural morality. All it takes of for people to cast God aside.

Would you or any racist really want to live in a world like that? What if all the blue eyed white people in that new world decided that blue eyes were more intelligent (I think there was an actual study to that effect and the results confirmed that Northern Europeans were more intelligent than southern Europeans. The further south you went in Europe the dumber the people were. ) and decided to kill off all the brown eyes. Damn, it could go on and on and on and eventually only the tall, blue eyed, highly intelligent, blond, nordic types would populate the Earth. That would be the fantasy of a Tolkien imagined "Elvan" populated Earth. I loved Tolkien's books, but I think he was a racist.

That entire eugenics - racist crap is far too dangerous to consider, and it leads to the total absence of morality in the long run. With God dying in the West, we have had racist regimes. Thus we had a regime like Hitler's Germany. We do not need that again do we?

Spanish picked up a lot of words from the Morish tongue (Arabic), but their origination points were different. Spanish is a Latin language. Knowing Spanish, I can understand a lot of written French, spoken Catalan, spoken Portuguese, spoken Italian and written Romanian. (The other Latin Languages.
A lot of people do not know that Eastern Europe Romanian is Latin based.)

Moorish words that were adopted into Spanish were the common noun names for products that originated in Arabic speaking parts of the world. The Arabic word for cotton is "goldon" The definite article in Arabic is "al."

The Spanish took the definite article and the noun and turned it into one word "algodon" which means cotton in Spanish. When you say "the cottonin Spanish, you say "el algodon" which to a linguist means "the the cotton"

We have done the same thing in English in that we took the Spanish word for rope "riata", put the Spanish definite article for the "la" in front of it and we have lariat, a rope that is used to lasso cattle and horses and other animals out west.
