Well, well, looka here. Something that makes sense from the Trump Administration. It won’t go anywhere in Congress, of course. Senator Patty Murray (Dwash) is already whining about it.

The plan's main proposals include work requirements on assistance programs like SNAP — which provides food stamps — and Medicaid, the renaming of the Department of Health and Human Services to the Department of Health and Public Welfare, and the merger of the Education and Labor departments into one overarching agency called the Department of Education and the Workforce.

Federal oversight of food safety, which had previously fallen under the Food and Drug Administration, would also be reorganized under the USDA's Federal Food Safety Agency under this plan. The Food and Drug Administration would then be renamed to reflect its focus on “drugs, devices, biologics, tobacco, dietary supplements, and cosmetics.”
