A week after the White House asked the public to send in "fishy" information about health care reform, the Obama administration has launched a new Web site to battle "wild rumors" and alleged falsehoods about the plans being pushed through Congress.

The Web site, activated Monday, uses the same set-up as the "Fight the Smears" page the Obama campaign maintained last year to battle rumors seen as potentially damaging to his candidacy.

The new "Reality Check" site features a half-dozen alleged rumors about health care reform, responding to them with videos of top aides rebutting them.

"We're offering the site and tools to empower individuals across the country to take this content into their own hands and share it among their networks," a senior administration official said.

"That's the sort of bottom-up process that got us to the White House, and it's what's going to deliver meaningful change to the health insurance system."

In one clip, an aide to adviser Valerie Jarrett disputes the claim that health care reform will lead to "rationing." Kavita Patel says rationing already occurs in the form of private insurers determining how to fund clients' health care, but said the notion that government will interfere in health care is "laughable."

They're going to include the backgrounds and beliefs of Ezekiel Emanuel and John Holdren too, right? You know . . . so individuals can be truly empowered and informed.

I wonder, will it include the names and email addresses of enemies to the cause so that friends of the cause can inform those poor misguided souls as to the true nature of the government's takeover of the health insurance industry?

Immie

In all the outrage and rancor generated by the issue of health care reform, I've yet to have my one question answered:
Where and to whom does the money go?
A wise man (or women) first said, "follow the money". Has anyone?

Huh???

Since few, if any, of those tin pot despots even seem to know whats in the bill for starters, how is their dispelling of any "rumors" supposed to have any credibility?

And if one were to log in to have such alleged rumors debunked, how may cookies and spybots will be unleashed onto their 'puter?

LOTS of it is going to Americorps and ACORN, for the "wellness checks" part of the bill.

From the bill, which you can read and do searches on here: http://www.stark.house.gov/images/stories/111/legislation/AAHCA/aahca-billtext-071409.pdf (It's a pdf and when you read it, this section is very hard to find. But when you do, you'll see the provision in the areas outlined below)

‘‘TITLE XXXI—PREVENTION AND WELLNESS
‘‘Subtitle A—Prevention and Wellness Trust <--- Sets up the funding
‘‘Sec. 3111. Prevention and Wellness Trust.
‘‘Subtitle B—National Prevention and Wellness Strategy
‘‘Sec. 3121. National Prevention and Wellness Strategy.
‘‘Subtitle C—Prevention Task Forces <---- lays out the volunteer program
‘‘Sec. 3131. Task Force on Clinical Preventive Services.
‘‘Sec. 3132. Task Force on Community Preventive Services. <---- Talks about door to door weighing, wellness check.
‘‘Subtitle D—Prevention and Wellness Research
‘‘Sec. 3141. Prevention and wellness research activity coordination. <---- "Activity coordination" sets up the bureaucracy to handle the "community organizers" for this.
‘Sec. 3142. Community prevention and wellness research grants.

All this is so ACORN under the banner of Americorps can enter your home, check your fridge and medicine cabinet, interview you about your diet, weigh you, all that rot.

They don't want anyone actually reading the bill, is the thing. They cannot dazzle with brilliance, so they have to try to baffle with bullshit, and attack anyone who dares to be a dissenter. Standard Saul Alinsky tactics.

:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

They lay it out in black and white . . . mixed with plenty of grey to befuddle people.

How do people not see what is happening? They must suck at puzzles cause they simply aren't putting the pieces together.

If the White House truly wanted to debunk "rumors" and "disinformation" they would post the entire bill, searchable, on that site and have footnotes which explain everything in layman's terms.

They cannot do that however. They don't want any of it explained.

Exactly.

6 months to pick out a dog and mere weeks to shove radical change down our throats.

Says it all.

Yeah the funny part is, NOW they're saying, "We need to take our time and get this right" AFTER public uproar ended their hopes, their original schedule, to have this shit signed, sealed and delivered to Obama's desk by the end of July!

What should they call the web-site? The 6:00 News? Simon Says? Oprah Says? Hard Ball? The View?

Things are not going as planned for The madman Obama & his Windy city gangsters. They assumed that all the sheople were on summer vacation, but thank God for the freedom of the internet. I am sure that these lawless international Socialist vermin would love to do away with it. What a bunch of arrogant pukes. ~BH
