The White House announced that it will not meet Friday's deadline to make public what plans it will put into place to deal with the massive defense cuts coming at the end of the year.

The announcement comes shortly after President Obama signed into law the Sequestration Transparency Act that requires him to submit a report to Congress detailing the impact of his 'sequester' on defense and non-defense programs – cuts that were triggered after the so-called Super Committee {failed} to come up with a debt deal last year.

"By proposing the sequester, the president put his own election campaign ahead of the interests of the country. He has a responsibility and legal obligation to tell the American people how he plans to implement, or replace theses devastating cuts,"

if the Republicans are waiting for the report rather than offering their own suggestions - other than tax cuts causing greater deficits - they should be required to have an immediate vote for passage without debate ...

Ya cause all the Federal Money thrown at eduction the last 30 years has worked so well. As to science, really? This Administration has cut science, they destroyed NASA.

Just ignore the fact that the Constitution REQUIRES the Government to provide for the common defense and lets waste money on shit already proven not to work.

By the way, the cuts are mandated and won't result in any savings to be shifted anywhere else.

We already know -- do we not? -- that if there is no agreement of how taxes will be cut, that the automatic cuts to the military will be based on the percentage of money spent by the military.

The GOP refused to compromise with the Dems on what needed to be cut, ergo the cuts will be ACROSS the BOARD of every budget of every department.

They already KNOW what the cuts will amount to at the DoD.

The GOP wanted gridlock to show the world that they had control over the process?

What a load of bullshit. The GOP offered up at least 2 plans during the whole debt-commission fiasco. Shot down by the......waaaaaait fooooooor it......Democrats! The problem? The Dumbos didn't want to give up entitlment spending and they didn't want a balanced budget amendment. The balanced budget amendment passed the GOP-controlled House and died in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
