Conservatives ran the House from 1994 until 2006 and had a "Compassionate Conservative" in the Presidency from 2000-2008. They also ran the Senate for most of that time.

Texas doesn't have a State income tax or a capital gains tax. What they do have is a legislature and Governor who address and solve the deficit problem. The WSJ called Texas the job creation capital of the nation. It must be all of those Californians leaving to get a job in Texas.
