Keystone pipeline will prevent this:

Exxon Valdez:
The Exxon Valdez oil spill occurred when an oil tanker crashed onto the shore of Prince William Sound in Alaska on March 24, 1989. It contaminated 1,300 miles of coastline with 250,000 barrels or 11 million gallons of oil. Direct contact with the oil slick killed at least 140 bald eagles, 302 harbor seals, 2,800 sea otters, and 250,00 seabirds within a few days. Four people died as part of the clean-up efforts. Although it was only the 34th worst oil spill in history, its impact on the Alaskan shoreline made it the nation's biggest environmental disaster since Three Mile Island.
The True Costs of the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill

Which President was more concerned about 1 million barrels of oil traveling one mile on the open ocean that is described by David Mosley, public affairs specialist for the U.S. Coast Guard in Alaska, says that the thousands of ships that already navigate its waters each year face "winter hurricanes" with 40-foot seas and 100-knot winds that appear with little advanced notice. In a typical year, at least one ship gets into trouble.
"A vessel will have some sort of mechanical or physical issue that then puts them at the mercy of the weather and the waves."
The Environmental Dangers of Not Building Keystone XL

VERSUS

700 barrels traveling one mile through the Keystone pipeline that joins more than 185,000 miles of liquid petroleum pipelines, nearly 320,000 miles of gas transmission pipelines, and more than 2 million miles of gas distribution pipelines to safely and efficiently move energy and raw materials to fuel our nation's economic engine. www.pipeline101.org/why-do-we-need-pipelines

The Keystone with 16 monitors per mile of the 1,179 mile route.. OR one monitor every 100 yards and
Keystone XL will use satellite technology to monitor 20,000 data points on the pipeline’s operating conditions.

President Donald Trump announced Friday that his administration has approved the Keystone XL pipeline, reversing the Obama administration's decision to block the controversial oil project.

So the question is in this specific opportunity to PREVENT an environmental disaster, which President was/is more environmentally concerned?

All it does is replace one big spill with dozens of smaller ones and bring them inshore.

All it does is replace one big spill with dozens of smaller ones and bring them inshore.

So let me get this straight. You believe an offshore spill like Exxon Valdez.. is equal to "dozens" of smaller ones onshore. Right?

FACTS:
From this source: List of oil spills - Wikipedia
I took the time to identify (S) - Sea/rivers (L) Land- trains/trucks, (P)- pipeline spills.
FACTS: in the USA since 1907 there has been 2,492,681 MAXIMUM tonnes to spill of which 0.6% or 14,881 tonnes from PIPELINES.....
So your guess "equal to "dozens"..... of small ones?
Well it actually takes the Exxon Valdez tanker was 104,000 tonnes and All Pipeline spills have been 88 or an average of 169 tonnes which would then
take 615 pipeline spills (remember there were only 88 in the first place!!!) to equal ONE 104,000 tonnes Exxon Valdez spill.
That would actual then mean 51 "dozens" of pipeline spills to equal ONE Exxon Valdez spill.

Again FACTS folks...

But again... what do the facts have to do with the ignorance of the MSM that continues to push a totally false story regarding Keystone, etc.

Too soon to judge Trump. I thought the environmental technology really gained steam under George W Bush. Probably a matter more of economics rather than policy. Since I blame GW for enough things, I see fit to pass to him credit on this matter.

I would like to have your FACTS regarding the issue of Keystone specifically because my point was that environmentalists don't seem to comprehend
numbers. I provided numbers totally refuting the argument about Keystone damaging the environment as compared to the alternative, i.e. a 1 million barrel
tanker traveling 1 mile on the open ocean versus 700 barrels traveling 1 mile in a pipeline on dry land.

This ONE example of the irrationality of "environmentalists" glaringly illustrates how "feelings" & "emotions" exploited by the MSM drives public opinion and
therefore public policy that AFFECTS all our lives!

What happened to people who used common sense? The truly ironic aspect is how many "college" educated are so abysmally influenced by their
educators which continues to form policies that affect my life...policies based on emotion, and not facts.

Facts are Canadians had 3 alternative pipelines that they did not pursue. The Northern Gateway Project was rejected for environmental reasons. The Trans Mountain Pipeline would use a 1953 pipeline right-of-way but would have increased oil tanker traffic taking the oil to foreign markets through Vancouver Harbor. Energy East would have been a lengthy pipeline taking the oil to eastern Canadian refineries. My take is Trump saved Trudeau's butt after Trudeau more-or-less painted himself into a corner on this issue.

The Vancouver point was what I was alluding to when I copied this quote:

By using Keystone this alternative route would have been taken and thus creating a daily 1 million barrel environmental risk due to another Exxon Valdez!

All it does is replace one big spill with dozens of smaller ones and bring them inshore.
In other words, it blows the photo ops of complete disaster the buttfucking commies so desperately desire.
No, it spreads the damage.

Please explain how "what" spreads, what damage?

Are you saying that:
When you see that ALL the world's Pipeline spills are worse that 70% of the oil spilled by tankers, etc.?
Is that what you mean?
Because that makes no sense.
Again I'm just showing the numbers and yet have any environmentalists refute these.

Yes, it adds up to more. A tanker spill is a big flashy meadia event because they spill hundreds of thousands of barrels a of not more all at once. Pipeline leaks rarely make the news because they are smaller and affect less area/wildlife/people at once. But o er time the pipelines do more damage.
